Well it took me a little while but I’ve finally managed to organised my thoughts and put a pattern together for you all. This was the first blanket I ever had the confidence in to give as a gift and was a real labour of love.
The pattern is suitable for beginners/intermediate crocheters. You will need to be familiar with double crochet and treble crochet stitches (UK), however, I will be adding tutorials for these stitches to my blog very soon! In the meantime, I strongly recommend the Bella Coco Youtube tutorials to help you get started.
Materials you will need:
- 5mm Crochet Hook – I absolutely love the “Clover Armour Hook” range
- 5 x Caron Baby Cakes in a colour of your choice – the colours pictured are “Dreamy Mint”, “Dreamy Peach” and “Dreamy Sky”
- A sewing needle
- Stitch Marker (optional)
The pattern gives complete written instructions for making the pattern and also describes how to get the neat colour changes in the pictured blanket. There is also a photo tutorial, for the ket steps, included at the end. You can find the pattern here.
I would love to see the blankets you all make using this pattern – you can share them with me on Instagram @scrumblescrafts.
In the meantime, happy hooking!
