Scheepjes Rozeta Crochet-along 2019 – Unboxing

It’s an exciting time of year, autumn is in full swing, Christmas is round the corner and Scheepjes have released this year’s crochet-along (CAL). This year their CAL has been deigned by the wonderfully talented Tatsiana of lillabjorncrochet.com – check out Tatsiana’s site to read about her inspiration for this year’s design.

The kits for this year’s CAL come in 4 different colour ways and two yarn types; the more budget friendly Colour Crafter and then the luxury Our Tribe range. Both produce a beautiful blanket and if I had all the time (and money…) in the world, I would have bought all of the kits!

How gorgeous do these all look?!? (Image taken from Scheepjes website)

I’ve chosen to make the Twilight blanket in the Colour Crafter yarn – I’ll probably cave and buy the rest of the kits by the end of the year! The Twilight kit turned out to be the most popular with Wool Warehouse selling out within a couple of days. They’re now taking pre-orders for the next batch of stock but you’ll probably want to reserve one quickly!

The CAL starts on the 9th October 2019 with new pattern sections posted every Wednesday up until the 18th December 2019. The free PDFs will be posted on the Scheepjes website and official facebook group. They’ll also include both left and right handed video tutorials.

My kit arrived this week and it was a struggle not to tear it open straight away but I managed to hold off just long enough to make this unboxing video…

The kit includes:

  • 1 darning needle
  • 1 wooden charm
  • Embroidery thread
  • A Rozeta label
  • All the yarn you’ll need for the blanket
  • A letter from Tatsiana

If you buy the Our Tribe Luxury kit, this also includes a limited edition Scheepjes project bag.

I for one, am so excited to get started with this CAL! I’m going to be posting regular updates on my Instagram, YouTube and right here on my website.

Which kits have you guys chosen to make? I’d love to see how your blankets turn out!

Happy crocheting!

Sophie
